    **Job Title:** Team Leader, Plant Assets

    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

    The Conventional Asset Team Leader is responsible for executing the strategy and establishing systems and programs associated Entergy’s conventional power generation portfolio. This role will be responsible for overseeing the performance of specific Entergy conventional assets and the oversight of contract operations and maintenance personnel dedicated to the daily operation of the assets and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards. This position will closely monitor the financial & operational performance of each project.

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES

    **Conventional Asset Strategy:** Support the development and execution of Entergy’s long-term strategy for operation of

     

    conventional power generation assets, including evaluation of 3rd party O&M operators, execution of projects and outages, optimizing unit output, reliability, and flexibility to support unit roles.

     

    **Operations & Maintenance: Oversee** Entergy’s conventional generation O&M program implemented by the O&M operator. Determine and ensure appropriate maintenance tasks are being performed and completed within the prescribed intervals. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies/procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC/CIP, environmental compliance, Federal and State reporting requirements). Support the development of procedures and policies to support operations and maintenance. Procedures should be living documents capturing industry best practices and organizational lessons

     

    learned. Establish and prioritize predictive maintenance practices where possible to optimize the preventive maintenance

     

    practices.

     

    **Asset Management:** Manage and oversee of third-party contracts, including supporting the negotiation/re-negotiation of O&M services, balance of plant, and various other third-party contracts. Provide vendor oversight and management of owner-provided parts and maintenance. Coordinate operator-requested/required maintenance opportunities with the EMO/TOC. Monitor and trend performance issues to inform stakeholders and budgetary targets. Support development of SMOC initiatives such as incorporation of units into the ROCC and PMAC monitoring.

    **Financial Responsibility:** Work with the O&M contractor to develop realistic annual budgetary estimates appropriate for unit role expectations with an ongoing risk and opportunity list prioritized to support efficient operations. Manage and oversee annual

     

    Capital and O&M budget adherence.

     

    **Leadership of Employees** : Ensure Entergy, contract and 3rd party O&M personnel are adhering to applicable safety policies and procedures. Develop asset performance goals that are clearly communicated to our 3rd party operators. Regularly engage with operator leadership to ensure staff is fully engaged and aligned with asset performance goals. Provide leadership, training, and coaching to a diverse team of individuals with varying skillsets. Coach, mentor, and enforce safe work practices and human error prevention behaviors to ensure worker safety and equipment reliability.

    MININUM REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum education required of the position:

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, finance, accounting, or business management. (Experience **_may_** be considered in lieu of a degree)

    Minimum experience required of the position:

    + At least 5 years of prior experience in utility power generation engineering, operation, and/or maintenance.OR 3 years of experience managing/supervising utility power generating assets.

    + Demonstrated track record of identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processes, assess/manage risks, and enhance financial/operational value

    Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:

    + Knowledge and technical understanding of generation resource operations and maintenance with an understanding of the key drivers for safe, reliable, cost effective and compliant operation

    + Ability to establish metrics and monitor performance using dashboards

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to influence peers and executive leadership

    + Must be dependable, self-motivated, goal oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks with little or no supervision

    Preference for the following:

    + Candidate with understanding of Entergy's Procurement and Financial regulations and programs

    + Candidate with understanding of a regulatory business model and financial recovery processes
