As part of our specialized division, Kelly Science, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Technologist to join our dynamic team at a renowned Fortune 500 Chemical Company located in Baytown, TX. This exciting long-term assignment offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation in the chemical industry, contributing to impactful research projects in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

What Role You Will Play

Provide research, industry, market, and plant support in a laboratory environment. The open position is located at the Baytown Technology and Engineering Complex, Baytown TX .

What You Will Do

Daily functions include:

• Conduct organic/organometallic synthesis and maintain laboratory and lab scale equipment

• Analyze and interpret reactions and analytical data

• Work with teams (work improvements/solutions/troubleshooting)

• Have direct interfaces with Ph.D. engineers and chemists daily

Skills and Qualifications

• Capable of safe, reliable, and independent laboratory work

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry and relevant lab experience

• Experience with organic or organometallic synthesis

• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions, procedures, and protocols

• Concern for accuracy and precision and record keeping

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to learn new techniques as needed and show agility

• Motivated, proactive, and dependable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• MS, Chemistry, BS, Chemistry, will be considered with professional or academic experience

• Knowledge in the use of Excel or other required digital platforms or strong willingness to learn

• Demonstrated understand chemistry nomenclature

• Demonstrated chemistry laboratory skills, abilities, experience
