Summary:

First Horizon Bank is seeking a **Director of Product Management** **– Digital Platform and Product Operations** . This individual will be a key member of the team driving the transformation of our digital banking capabilities. The leader will be responsible for introducing and scaling modern product management practices and managing the digital platform product team.

We are looking for someone who is deeply grounded in modern product management principles, with a passion for operational excellence and platform thinking. As a senior leader on the digital team, you will lead a small but impactful team responsible for our core digital banking platform ensuring platform stability, reliability, and extensibility across multiple product verticals. At the same time, you will serve as the product operations leader, implementing best-in-class ways of working, standardizing team routines and tooling, and enabling our product teams to focus on delivering outcomes for clients and the business.

This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives at the intersection of product discovery, execution, and organizational development. You will be instrumental in building a strong product culture, empowering teams, and operational frameworks used by leading product companies. As a leader in financial services, this individual will have a strong understanding of the market and technology trends driving the future of digital.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead the digital platform product team, responsible for enabling capabilities across digital product teams and core platform services that power consumer and small business digital banking experiences.

+ Champion and drive the implementation of our product operating model, including team structures, rituals, cadences, documentation standards, decision frameworks, and product excellence practices.

+ Define and maintain standard operating procedures for product teams, including product reviews, OKR alignment, and roadmap hygiene, enabling a consistent and scalable approach to product delivery.

+ Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to increase velocity and reduce friction, optimizing how teams shape, prioritize, and deliver value.

+ Lead digital release management and user acceptance testing functions, ensuring disciplined, predictable releases in close coordination with engineering and enterprise technology partners. Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) initiatives to improve quality and deployment frequency.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Tech, Design, Risk, Operations) to ensure platform stability and seamless integration across teams.

+ Lead product operations initiatives including capacity planning, KPI instrumentation, backlog health checks, and tooling strategy

+ Evangelize outcome-driven product management across the organization and serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders.

+ Model the principles of strong product leadership—customer obsession, strategic clarity, continuous learning, and empowered teams.

Qualifications

+ 7-10+ years of product management experience

+ 5+ years of managerial experience.

+ Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function.

+ Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.

+ Strong customer focus and ability to translate insights into product vision.

+ Proven experience in setting and delivering against strategic goals.

+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development lifecycles.

+ Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of managing stakeholders at all levels.

+ Experience working in regulated industries, especially financial services, preferred.
