    The Employee Relations Lead Analyst, Compliance and Reporting will be responsible for the management of requests for a reasonable accommodation pursuant to applicable state laws and/or the Americans with Disabilities Act including pregnancy accommodation requests and requests for religious accommodation to ensure legal compliance. Will assist in the preparation of Quarterly ER reporting including data generation and formatting. Will also assist with requests for proposal contracts (RFP), and support the organization’s affirmative action planning process, and other employment compliance initiatives as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    + Performs the review process for ADA accommodation requests ensuring the ADA interactive process is followed. Reviews, approves, modifies and/or denies and document all ADA Accommodation request outcomes. Partners with the legal department to ensure compliance under the ADA as necessary. Counsels managers on Pregnancy and Religious accommodation requests.

    + Reviews contract redlines submitted by sales and other internal key stakeholders for acceptance and alignment with Cigna ER and HR policy compliance. May recommend approval, denial or modification of contract language to ensure compliance with government contractor requirements.

    + Assumes a supportive role in Department of Labor and other government labor and client audits and data requests; including presenting and discussing pertinent data and policy details to external auditors and clients.

    + Provides sensitive ad-hoc data and reporting requests including detailed analysis of ER and related trends to address rising issues to identify ER training or climate assessment needs.

    + Ensures the organization’s on line policy and resource portals are current and up to date with federal, state and local requirements and that new statutes and requirement changes are developed, reviewed, implemented and communicated.

    + Takes a supportive role in ER or Business Unit projects that have a direct impact on employees/ER policy or requires direction from ER.

    + Other projects and tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + BS/BA degree in a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)

    + 3+ years experience in HR, Employee Relations or leave management strongly preferred.

    + Prior experience with Service Now strongly preferred.

    + Experience reviewing complex requests for reasonable accommodations pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, including partnering with management to facilitate the ADA interactive process, as well as drafting ADA request written responses.

    + Comfortability in reviewing complex contract language for compliance to internal policy and government contractor requirements.

    + Excellent communication skills – in particular, looking for someone who can (i) tailor their communication style and content to a particular audience to develop a rapport and instill a level of confidence in the ADA interactive process; and (ii) communicate with management to effectively influence and where necessary mediate acceptable solutions.

    + Excellent writing skills – must be able to effectively communicate the outcome of the ADA interactive process and the basis for the determination in a thorough, respectful and thoughtful manner.

    + Must be able to work within established deadlines to conduct a thorough review of accommodation requests and provide a timely response.

    + Ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders by demonstrating strong business/policy knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.

    + Must have a proficient understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws.

    + Must be able to work independently and be comfortable exercising independent judgment and making recommendation/decisions.
