Job Description: The Role: Recruiter
You are a connector, strategist, and ambassador — developing and executing creative recruiting strategies to attract and onboard top talent across MaineGeneral Health.
The Opportunity:
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Recruiter to join our growing Talent Acquisition Team! Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the ideal candidate is an experienced, strategic, and motivated recruiter who thrives in building relationships, developing pipelines, and finding top talent across a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles.
This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds — flexibility to work remotely while engaging weekly on-site with a collaborative, high-performing recruitment team. Together, we connect with candidates, partner with community organizations, schools, and colleges, and deliver exceptional hiring experiences that strengthen the MaineGeneral team.
The Work:
+ Lead full-cycle recruitment across multiple levels and specialties, identifying mission-driven candidates who share MaineGeneral Health’s commitment to enhancing the health of our patients, families, and communities
+ Actively source candidates through multiple mediums — including professional networks, social platforms, industry groups, and community partnerships
+ Build and maintain talent pipelines and pathways for current and future hiring needs, including passive and organic candidate engagement
+ Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, align on strategy, and select top candidates to join their teams
+ Manage applicant flow through the Workday ATS, ensuring an efficient and positive candidate experience
+ Partner with Marketing and Talent Acquisition colleagues to elevate the MaineGeneral Health employer brand through strategic advertising, social media, events, and outreach initiatives
You Have:
+ Proven experience actively sourcing and engaging passive talent across multiple channels
+ A passion for pipeline and pathway development, especially in competitive healthcare markets
+ A driven, goal-oriented, and competitive mindset — you take pride in your work and in achieving measurable results
+ Strong tactical experience using an ATS (Workday preferred)
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and marketing skills
+ A team-first attitude with the ability to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities
