Expected salary range of $139,500 to $155,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Plan and manage resources, finances, scope and services within a functional area of Information Technology to deliver business results. Partner with IT and business teams to provide the necessary leadership to drive technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology standards, market availability of products, and risks and benefits of technology introduction into Exelon's computing environment. Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level for assigned architectural domain.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
+ Lead and directly manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan. Provide technical expertise to IT and business teams to identify technology solutions and strategies to achieve business results. Ensure appropriate implementation of technology within both the development and production environments.
+ For architecture: Design and develop enterprise-wide architecture and strategy for assigned architectural domain in alignment with the business strategy. For engineering: Perform engineering and design functions for software applications and infrastructure in support of the corporate-wide strategic information technology plan; oversee the introduction of new technology into the operations environment by utilizing Exelon's standard governance process.
+ Provide technological expertise and advice to IT leadership in the development of strategic information technology plans to support business strategies.
+ Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with business and IT partners. Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
+ Maintain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, evaluate new technologies or technology opportunities, and provide analysis of their potential impact to advantage the business.
+ Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
+ Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and at least 8 years in solid, diverse experience in IT, with a focus in assigned area of technical specialty: or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Previous people management responsibilities and experience
+ Appropriate technical skills.
+ In-depth knowledge of business unit functions and applications
+ Comprehensive understanding of change management techniques associated with new technology implementation.
+ Experience producing an economic business case.
+ Demonstrate leadership ability.
+ Experience leading and managing technical personnel
+ Strong judgment, excellent analytical ability and consulting skills.
+ Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management and with vendors.
+ Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Experienced in the management of Architecture Governance programs such as architecture review board, technology lifecycle programs, etc.
+ Strong leadership presence and ability to guide technical discussions through to execution.
+ Strong ability to manage conflicting points of view and gain consensus.
