    Under direct supervision, coordinates administrative functions within the department of hematology’s lab to support Dr. Vijay Sankaran (https://www.childrenshospital.org/directory/vijay-sankaran#medical) . Ensures that objectives specified for the lab are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist in planning workshops, meetings, or conferences, and coordinate logistics, scheduling, and participant communications.

    + Assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.

    + Coordinate activities and daily operations of a program.

    + Prepare or assist in the preparation of proposals for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.

    + Prepare or assist in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.

    + Review applications or other program documents in conjunction with a supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to the program.

    + Draft written communication and promotional literature.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education:

    + Associates degree or equivalent experience

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred

    Experience:

    + 1 year of related work experience

    + The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.

    + The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
