The Role at a Glance
The Marine Training Program lead instructor will assist with maritime training programs, complete required course reports and documentation, and coordinate with internal and external clients. They will support the Marine Program Training Director with tasks and deliverables associated with clients, instructors, adjuncts, and classes. The instructor will provide support and coordination for additional Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI), NERRTC, and TEEX programs and operations as needed.
This position reports to the Training Coordinator.
Qualifications of the Role
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Four years of maritime or oil spill response experience.
+ One year of adult education and/or training experience.
+ Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
+ Must have completed, or ability to complete TEEX instructional certification within two years of employment.
+ Must have obtained, or ability to obtain USCG instructor certifications within six months of employment.
Equivalency: Will consider an associate’s degree in a related field and two years of maritime or oil spill response experience or a bachelor's degree in a related field. Must also have one year of adult education and/or training experience.
