Amazon Business Flywheel Input (ABFI) Analytics team is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to help us make history. Amazon Business (AB) represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base for Amazon. We are focused on building solutions that enable B2B customers to find and buy products and services across multiple devices and marketplaces. The Analytics team owns data driven decision making for key AB problems including price setting, selection additions, and operations optimization. Amazon Business is a fast-growing business sector. You will build the analytics and the supporting structures needed to analyze, dive deep, and innovate the pricing strategies. You will leverage the latest analytics and AI-powered tools to transform complex data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with the Product/Program Managers, Data Engineers, Scientists, and Software Development Engineers to develop dynamic dashboards and define new metrics that drive strategic analyses. You have the capability to extract, manipulate, and summarize large sets in analysis through business intelligence and reporting tools. You will learn different aspects of business and understand how to build or apply analytics tools to solve high impact business problems. You will be expected to provide clear and concise explanations for results and approaches as well as provide opinion and guidance on problem solving.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to develop, enhance, automate, and manage Data pipelines and dashboards end to end. In this role, the successful candidate will function as a close aide to senior leaders, not only generating data, but closing the loop with impactful insights that drive strategic action. They will also have experience with generative AI tools to improve development productivity, automate insight generation, and enhance data storytelling for executive decision making.
Key job responsibilities
• Work closely with the BIEs, DEs and Scientists in the team and collaborate effectively with product managers to create scalable analytical solutions for business problems.
• Use GenAI to aid development process and generate insights that drive meaningful business outcomes.
• Proactively learn new technologies to identify opportunities for improvement or automation in existing data processes.
• Use the best practice on ETL engineering, data quality frameworks, warehouse design, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to flywheel inputs strategy by conducting both ad-hoc and strategic analyses.
• Own the development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards on the key drivers of our business.
A day in the life
You will build the analytics and the supporting data infrastructure needed to analyze, dive deep, and innovate the pricing strategies. You will also have the opportunity to present findings to cross functional team partners to drive improvements. You will work closely with the Product/Program Managers, Data Engineers, Applied/Research/Data Scientists, Economists and Software Development Engineers to solve challenging problems.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
