Description
The AWS Global Network Delivery (GND) team is searching for a passionate and talented business analyst (BA) to launch metrics, reports and insights using data visualization as needed to drive Data Center and Network Capacity deployment efficiencies. You will assess the data pipeline & reporting needs to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders and internal team members to compliment improvement programs administration. You will be responsible for designing the performance management models, scaling data processes and reports, streamlining and simplifying process workflows, as well as managing project timelines and deliverables.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
Interfacing with business customers, gathering requirements and developing complex analytics model and data-sets for deep dive.
Identifying the data quality issues across the various platforms at Amazon Web Services.
Extracting and combining data from various heterogeneous data sources.
Partnering with other analysts and engineers to build analytical solutions to deliver on business goals
Propose and implement new business metrics for senior management reviews and work with the data engineer to design and develop data infrastructure to support these metrics for business growth.
Influencing across multiple levels of leadership and organizations through strong communication and analytical skills.
Build statistical models and ML based algorithms to perform insight analysis and help in decision making.

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, EMR and RDS

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
