    To be successful in this mission we are looking for a passionate and experienced Principal Product Manager to define and help accelerate the product development and business growth of strategic customer-facing tech and AI products. You will own the product strategy, roadmap, business, and execution. You will listen to and represent customers – from the world’s largest enterprises to high-growth startups - in order to deliver best-in-class global services and capabilities. You will be hands-on with your engineering teams and work closely with senior leadership as well as both internal and external partners. You are an owner, builder, and enabler, working with leaders across UX, Engineering, Business Development, Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Finance. You will develop and drive a product roadmap, deliver value to customers, and work with senior leadership on strategy and investment decisions. To be successful in this role you will need an established background in building and leading web-scale software services, a proven understanding of SaaS applications, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and partners. Strong team building and mentorship skills are essential. You have to want to work hard, have fun, and make history. You have a startup mindset.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Own and define the long-term vision and strategy for customer-facing Amazon Business tech & AI products.

     

    - Define the cohesive strategy to deploy AI tools through various external channels.

     

    - Innovate, obsessively monitor the voice of the customer and deep-dive on technological solutions to inform the product roadmap.

     

    - Develop and own the product roadmap; define and prioritize features by making the right trade-offs, aligning with stakeholders and delivering value proposition for your customers. Define business cases to justify investment where required.

     

    - Navigate technical complexities and influence engineering teams in innovating a scalable technology solution that can impact diverse customers.

     

    - Collaborate with and influence, sales, marketing, product/engineering and other internal stakeholders. Share learnings and align across regions (US, EU, Japan, Canada).

     

    - Own product discussions with senior leadership including alignment on the key value proposition and the product vision/direction.

     

    - Create strategic documents including PR/FAQ, Product vision, strategy documents, operational plans. Develop other product materials including requirements document, design specifications, process flows, system diagrams, API definitions, user guides and manuals.

     

    - Constantly monitor your product metrics and identify opportunities to improve / drive product adoption. Identify mechanisms to track results and inform colleagues and leaders.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

     

    - 7+ years of end to end product delivery experience

     

    - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

     

    - Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

     

    - Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders

     

    - Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

     

    - Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
