    The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Accountant III to support our Corporate Operations. *This position will be located at our Orlando, Florida office.*

    DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.

    + Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

    + Has overall responsibility for overseeing assigned accounting functions.

    + Supervise and guide lower-level accountants and clerical level staff.

    + Memorializing finance processes.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

    + Preferred bachelor’s degree in directly related field.

    + An associate degree required with at least four (4) years of professional level accounting is acceptable in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Minimum of four (4) years directly related experience required.

    + Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.

    + Must be accurate in both processes and content.

    + Proficient knowledge of Costpoint, specifically Costpoint Billing

    + Relies extensively on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    + Government Contracting knowledge and experience

    + Knowledge of FAR and JTR

    + Advanced Excel

    + Cognos knowledge

    + Problem Solving Skills

    + Self-starter

    REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
