Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production floor equipment. You will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, addressing machine breakdowns, and engaging in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

+ Respond to production floor maintenance calls from machine operators on various equipment.

+ Perform assigned maintenance tasks and machine breakdown repairs to maintain continuous production.

+ Attend and participate in crew transition meetings and daily transition meetings with other Maintenance Technicians.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, instruction manuals, and mechanical drawings.

+ Utilize measuring instruments such as calipers and multimeters.

+ Rework and rebuild mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

+ Conduct electrical troubleshooting on a 480-volt 3-phase system, including repairing and rewiring motors under qualified supervision.

+ Set up and operate all types of production equipment and machine tools such as lathes, mills, and welders.

+ Perform basic PLC troubleshooting.

Essential Skills

+ 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance experience

+ Proven problem-solving skills with a mechanical understanding of machinery

+ Experience in forklift operations

+ Ability to use a multi-meter

+ Basic math and computer skills

+ Effective and efficient communication skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Environment

Work in a food production environment with a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Day shifts are from 5:50 AM to 6:00 PM, while night shifts run from 5:50 PM to 6:00 AM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sussex, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
