Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The Warehouse Worker will be trained in various job areas to support the operations of our spice distribution. This role involves palletizing spices, accurately reading labels, and climbing ladders to fill hoppers with spices. Attention to detail is crucial when reading and mixing spice recipes.

Responsibilities

+ Palletize spices and read labels accurately.

+ Climb a 7-step ladder to fill hoppers with spices.

+ Read and mix spice recipes with attention to detail.

+ Perform basic math calculations to identify numbers and quantities.

+ Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift 50lbs.

+ Basic math skills.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Experience with food service and background knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift operation experience is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large warehouse with a distinct spice aroma, suitable for individuals who enjoy cooking. Noise levels can be high when machines are operational. Personal protective equipment such as masks, smocks, gloves, and goggles are provided. The role requires standing for 8-10 hours a day during the day shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of FREMONT, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
