Job Title: Sr. Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Sr. Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through timely and detailed troubleshooting and repair of all equipment failures. This role requires sharing expertise on production equipment with the maintenance team and operators and acting as a subject matter expert in one or more equipment areas such as injection molders, blow molders, fillers/cappers, labelers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers. The technician will also troubleshoot and repair facilities and auxiliary equipment, such as chillers and air compressors, and perform general maintenance of the plant.
Responsibilities
+ Adhere to and enforce the highest standards in safety and good manufacturing practices plant-wide.
+ Train and lead Operators, Mechanics, and Supervisors on technical procedures related to high-speed bottle manufacturing and packaging.
+ Work directly with plant leadership to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of recurring problems.
+ Rapidly identify machine problems to minimize equipment downtime, conducting root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence.
+ Collaborate with other Sr. maintenance Technicians to resolve cross-functional problems.
+ Utilize available software systems to analyze and identify issues to drive throughput performance.
+ Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment to like-new status during planned downtime.
+ Transfer knowledge to team members to develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in specialized areas of bottling production.
+ Create SOPs for troubleshooting machines and upload them to the BDA system, ensuring machine reliability and mean time before failure.
+ Maintain regular and predictable attendance, as well as required on-call availability, to ensure equipment and facility uptime.
Essential Skills
+ 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
+ 4 years of experience with Krones, Husky, Sidel, or other packaging or bottling equipment.
+ Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools.
+ Skilled in fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
+ Proficiency in working with electrical systems including 480VAC & 24VDC power.
+ Ability to repair variable frequency drives, servo motors and controllers, communication systems (ASI-bus, CAN-bus, PROFIBUS, Ethernet), PLC input/output cards, and safety modules.
+ Experience in a bottling or aseptic plant and familiarity with the mentioned machinery brands.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Preferred 10+ years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
+ 4 years of experience in fields such as blow molding, injection molding, packaging, or beverage.

Work Environment
Work in a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled water bottling facility in Temple, TX. The facility operates 24/7 with a base day shift starting at 6 am or 7 am, lasting 8 or 10 hours from Monday through Friday, with on-call rotations. Experience a quiet, clean, and automated environment with high-tech bottling machinery, maintaining a smaller family feel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85280.00 - $104000.00/yr.
