    Job Title: Assistant Processor

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Processor, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of finished products. You will be responsible for operating machinery, maintaining production standards, and performing quality checks.

    Responsibilities

    + Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.

    + Maintain both paper and electronic logs of materials fed into the machine.

    + Operate machines to ensure products run for the correct duration.

    + Perform quality checks on products as they come out of machines and are fed into containers.

    + Mix finished products according to established formulas and monitor production needs.

    + Set up decks for daily schedules and operate equipment to process formulas.

    + Use local control panels to manage the addition of all metered and manually added ingredients to mix and transfer batches.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in food manufacturing and processing.

    + Knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards.

    + Proficiency as a machine operator in a food processing environment.

    + Strong quality control skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

    + Related experience in food processing is advantageous.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures.

    + Possess math skills to verify quantities of ingredients.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is within a bustling food processing company. You will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, surrounded by machines. The area may be wet at times due to sanitation procedures. Hearing protection is required due to a constant, dull hum in the processing bay.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.41 - $19.41/hr.
