    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. The role involves setting up and operating a heat treat furnace, loading and unloading parts into the oven, and performing quality checks. You will be required to adjust and maintain the temperature of ovens and conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs. This position requires working in a very hot environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate heat treat furnace.

    + Load and unload parts into the oven and rack to cool.

    + Adjust and maintain the temperature of ovens.

    + Perform quick quality checks.

    + Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on furnaces.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing capacity.

    + Experience in machine operation and general labor.

    + Forklift operation skills are highly preferred.

    + Ability to work in a hot environment for a full day.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + General production skills.

    + Hand tool proficiency.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

     

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a heat treat shop with a warm environment and a smaller, well-organized group. While the role can be a bit dirty, the shop itself is quite clean. The position requires working on a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 4:00pm-12:30am) or a 3rd shift (Sun-Thur, 12:00am-8:30am) with mandatory every other weekend half-day work on Saturday and Sunday.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Granby, Connecticut.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
