    Job Title: Assembly Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor with a minimum of 5 years of assembly experience in the Aerospace industry and at least 5 years of experience in supervising and motivating subordinates. We welcome applications from individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a keen eye for detail.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates.

    + Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve departmental performance and achieve goals.

    + Motivate, train, and develop department employees.

    + Manage department employee schedules and workflow with the Operations Manager.

    + Assign duties and monitor the quality of work, ensuring staff adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and government regulations.

    + Review department efficiencies and implement changes for improvement and accuracy when necessary.

    + Ensure employees are up to date with current and previous training.

    + Monitor employee morale, attendance, and issue warnings as approved by the Operations Manager.

    + Ensure all documentation, both written and computer, is completed accurately.

    + Assist with the creation of work instructions and bills of materials as needed.

    + Assemble, modify, rework, and reassemble production components using drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and verbal instructions.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years of assembly experience in Aerospace or equivalent.

    + Minimum of 5 years in supervising and motivating subordinates.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Ability to work well in a team and deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.

    + Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

    + Basic math skills.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Use of basic hand-held measuring tools.

    + Ability to read and interpret drawings.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in light industry, continuous improvement, production, and blueprint reading.

    + Knowledge of assembly, process improvement, manufacturing processes, supervision, and lean manufacturing.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a machine shop environment where the candidate must be able to remain in a standing or walking position for the majority of the time. The position requires working around high-speed machinery and equipment, with exposure to machine oil, metal filings, unpleasant odors, and noise. Safety equipment is required, and there is a need for alertness, accuracy, and safety awareness due to the mechanized equipment.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Arlington, Washington.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $84000.00/yr.
