Olsten Staffing is looking to hire a Access Control Clerk (Civilian Clerk. Must be mentally and Physically capable of performing a variety of clerical duties and aid department management, co-workers and the general public as required.
This is a long-term, temporary to hire opportunity. This role is a 12 hour rotating shift - 7am - 7pm / 7pm-7am. The hourly pay for this position is $14.19.
General Responsibilities:
Operate under general and often limited supervision to facilitate lawful and consistent operation of the detention center control system and monitor the detention center camera system. The detention clerk may assist with other processes withing the detention center but may not supervise, escort, or transport incarcerated inmates.
Specific Duties:
+ Answer phone lines which come into central control
+ Maintain accurate detention center logs.
+ Proficient usage of a 2-way radio system within the detention center
+ Utilizing the jail management system
+ Monitoring multiple closed circuit cameras withing the detention center
+ Operate electronic door controls and intercoms throughout the detention center
+ Verify the identity of all persons entering or leaving the facility prior to opening any door and ensure proper and secure operations of the facility.
+ Monitor the fire control center
+ Document all pertinent information in the jail shift log
+ Answer all public information questions to the best possible degree. Politely refer other questions to the on-duty supervisor or other competent authority.
+ The willingness to have breaks at your console if needed
Additional General Job Information:
+ Detention clerks are not certified officers. As such, clerks shall not escort or in any manner maintain custody of any prisoner.
+ Detention clerks shall not intervene in an altercation or situation requiring physical intervention of security personnel.
+ Detention clerks shall not engage inmates in personal conversation or any other personal interaction
+ Detention clerks shall not expend breaks in other secure areas of the center.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Must be 19 years of age
+ Must have a minimum of a high school diploma / GED
+ Must have a valid SC Driver's License
+ Must not have any felony convictions or convictions that would classify as a crime or moral turpitude

**Pay Details:** $14.19 per hour
