JOB SUMMARY The Document Control Specialist is primarily responsible for forms management (to include order sets) for Blessing Health System. The Document Control Specialist performs administrator functions within the document management system, managing document areas, user permissions, and approval workflows. Duties include assisting customers with creating and revising forms; reviewing forms for proper format, spelling, punctuation and inclusion of all form requirements; communicating regular document updates to staff; archiving obsolete documents; auditing departments for use of current forms; and other document control duties as assigned.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Excellent keyboarding skills
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
+ Ability to learn system applications for document control and internal audits
+ Experience working in a healthcare setting
PREFERRED:
+ Some college
+ Minimum of 3 years clerical experience
+ PAY STATUS:
+ Non-exempt hourly
