Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work with technical drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills and lathes to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
+ Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
+ Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings for each job.
+ Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and quality.
+ Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
+ Make adjustments to machine settings and tooling as needed to optimize performance and part quality.
+ Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality control teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
+ Document setups, tooling, and machining parameters for repeatability and process control.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the machining process.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on machining efficiency and workflow.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with CNC machines, specifically mills and lathes.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD models.
+ Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
+ Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
+ Experience with machine programming and optimization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with brands such as Haas and Mazak.
+ Familiarity with a climate-controlled machine shop environment.

Work Environment
This position offers a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm, in a family-owned climate-controlled machine shop. We offer flexibility with the option to work four 10-hour shifts if needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wagoner, Ok.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
