2nd Shift Aerospace Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
We are seeking skilled 2nd Shift Electro-Mechanical Assemblers to join our team at a military and defense facility located in the Santa Ana/Costa Mesa area. The position requires candidates to initially train on the first shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift, which operates from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. This role offers a competitive hourly wage based on experience, with overtime opportunities available during weekdays and Saturdays.
Responsibilities
+ Perform mechanical and/or electrical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably in aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.
+ Utilize common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, or specialized test equipment.
+ Operate computer applications including standard browsers and word processing tools.
+ Understand and work with common electrical components.
+ Read and interpret wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions accurately.
+ Adapt rapidly to changing roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with engineering and production teams.
+ Participate in overtime and weekend shifts as required.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
+ Proficiency with common hand and power tools.
+ Strong computer skills for using standard browser and word processing applications.
+ Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components.
+ Ability to perform validation and testing of electronic components using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
+ Familiarity with air-frame construction techniques including rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates.
+ Experience in electronic box assembly troubleshooting and writing detailed issue tickets.
+ Skills in running functional checkouts and tests, diagnosing issues, and testing RF systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
