Job Description:
We're urgently hiring an experienced R&D Technician to join our fast-growing startup team. This is a hands-on role supporting the assembly and development of experimental hardware and production systems. If you're skilled in mechanical and electrical assembly and thrive in a dynamic, chemical lab environment—this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
What You’ll Do:
+ Assemble control panels and wire instruments and sensors
+ Perform mechanical assembly of production and experimental equipment
+ Build systems from Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
+ Assemble hydraulic systems and piping (mainly stainless steel tubing and Swagelok connections)
+ Maintain detailed lab notes and update engineering drawings
+ Collaborate with a small technician team to support innovation and early-stage manufacturing
Top Skills We’re Looking For:
+ Mechanical Assembly: Building systems from P&IDs
+ Electrical Skills: Wiring instruments/sensors, assembling control panels, small-gauge wiring (preferred)
+ Hydraulic Systems & Piping: Experience with stainless steel tubing and Swagelok fittings
Nice to Have Skills:
+ Piping system experience
+ Hydraulic schematics knowledge
+ Comfort working in a chemical lab environment
Work Environment:
+ Chemical lab setting with exposure to various chemicals, including DOD explosive-related materials
+ Small team (3 technicians, 22 total employees)
+ Fast-paced, hands-on, and safety-focused
+ Based in Boulder, CO

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
