Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description
Join a dynamic oncology office as a Phlebotomist where you will play a crucial role in patient care. The office welcomes individuals with at least one year of phlebotomy experience, and it is not mandatory to have oncology-specific experience. Work in a fast-paced environment alongside another skilled phlebotomist, managing a patient flow of 90-120 individuals daily. While not every patient requires a blood draw, all have samples that need to be processed efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Perform blood draws using straight needles and manage hard stick cases.
+ Process patient samples swiftly and accurately to keep up with the office's pace.
+ Collaborate with another phlebotomist to ensure efficient workflow.
+ Provide exemplary customer service and patient care.
+ Handle pediatric and adult patients with professionalism.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of one year of phlebotomy experience.
+ Proficiency with straight needle and hard stick blood draws.
+ Phlebotomy certification.
+ Strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in an oncology setting is advantageous but not required.
+ Familiarity with butterfly needle techniques is a plus.
Work Environment
The role is based in an oncology office with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 12 PM to 7 PM, and Friday from 12 PM to 5:30 PM. The environment is fast-paced and requires quick adaptation and efficiency in handling high patient volumes. Dress code is professional.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Freehold Township, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $21.00/hr.
