Job Title: Research Associate IIIJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Research Associate III to support the integration-related auditing and maintenance activities within our team. This role involves regular maintenance and auditing of various applications, user acceptance testing, laboratory fulfillment, DNA sequence design, and the production and analysis of recombinant proteins. You will collaborate closely with team members, ensuring efficient data processes and maintaining strong communication.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct regular maintenance and auditing of request, registration, analytic data, and inventory applications.
+ Perform frequent and timely user acceptance testing for registration and request applications.
+ Fulfill reagent requests in the laboratory based on experience.
+ Design DNA sequences, construct vectors, and perform sequencing and quality control.
+ Produce recombinant proteins, including antibodies, bispecifics, fusions, and small format binders, using mammalian expression and affinity purification.
+ Conduct analytical characterization of purified products.
+ Evaluate and build new data efficiencies for registration and laboratory data processes.
+ Collaborate regularly with team members and maintain strong communication skills.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or equivalent degree.
+ Hands-on laboratory experience beyond college coursework.
+ Experience with basic Python scripting and strong Excel skills.
+ Experience in laboratory data management and digital application transitions.
+ Experience with annotating antibody sequences and familiarity with antibody structure/domains.
+ Experience with recombinant protein production from DNA design to quality analysis.
+ Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
+ Ability to perform routine tasks independently and commitment to high quality analysis and meticulous documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with product quality analysis for antibodies and recombinant proteins.
+ Antibody-drug conjugate and small compound handling experience.
+ Experience with automated lab equipment and protocols.
+ Prior experience working with electronic lab notebooks and LIMS systems.
+ Willingness to work with potent cytotoxic compounds while following safety protocols.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a laboratory setting with advanced lab equipment and protocols. You will engage in data management and digital application transitions, ensuring a high level of attention to detail. Collaboration with team members is essential, and you should be comfortable taking direction from various team members, not just leadership. The environment is detail-oriented and requires a commitment to meticulous documentation and high-quality analysis.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Bothell, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
