    We are seeking a dedicated Transportation Design Engineer to lead design tasks for transportation projects at our Fort Wayne, IN office. This is a unique opportunity for growth, training, and gaining project management experience.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead project design calculations, reports, planning preparation, and roadway modeling.

    + Assist office leadership in preparing proposal documents and preliminary project evaluations.

    + Develop a network with peers at other firms and public agencies to enhance personal and firm relationships during project coordination efforts.

    + Coordinate project tasks and report to project manager and supervisory staff to assist in budget, schedule, and project status tracking.

    + Support Indianapolis and regional offices on a variety of infrastructure projects.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited program.

    + Engineer in Training in Indiana or Registered Professional Engineer.

    + Experience designing transportation projects.

    + Background working on INDOT, county, and municipal transportation design projects.

    + Proficiency in ACAD Civil 3D, MicroStation Bentley Open Roads Designer.

    + Experience with drainage software including StormCAD and CDSS.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Team player with a great attitude and a desire to grow professionally.

    + Consideration for candidates with 0-10 years of experience, including entry-level candidates with relevant internship experience.

    Work Environment

    The Fort Wayne Office is a vibrant mix of experienced and developing talent, serving Northeast Indiana and the Fort Wayne metropolitan area. Our local staff includes expertise in public works projects serving city, county, and DOT clients. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible hours available. There is an option for 2 days of remote work per week, although most of the team prefers working in the office. The office is a close-knit team environment with a focus on collaboration and productivity.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
