    Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

    Job Description

    The Quality Assurance Lab Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards within the facility. They will adhere to cGMP and BRC standards, perform quality control checks on the floor, conduct laboratory testing of raw materials and in-process products, and provide guidance on updating SOPs. The role involves conducting internal audits, performing investigations with root-cause analysis, and managing data entry and reporting using Excel. The technician will frequently engage in cross-functional communication with all manufacturing departments and leadership, and must demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    Responsibilities

    + Adhere to cGMP and BRC standards

    + Perform quality control checks on the production floor

    + Conduct laboratory testing of raw materials and in-process products

    + Advise on updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

    + Conduct internal audits and perform root-cause analysis

    + Complete data entry and reporting using Excel

    + Engage in cross-functional communication with manufacturing departments and leadership

    Essential Skills

    + Quality assurance and quality control expertise

    + Proficiency in GMP, food safety, and BRC standards

    + Competence in Excel and documentation control

    + Experience in titrations and microbiology testing

    + Understanding of food science and laboratory equipment

    + Proficiency in lab documentation

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology or a scientific discipline

    + 1-2 years of experience in food quality

    + Mathematics and computer usage skills

    + Bilingual abilities preferred

    Work Environment

    The facility operates 24/7, and this position is for the 3rd shift, from Sunday to Thursday. After a 15-week training period, there is a $1 raise, and a bonus is awarded every two weeks for perfect attendance. The team consists of an Assistant Quality Manager and three technicians per shift. Following GMP guidelines, employees must refrain from wearing artificial nails, eyelashes, or visible jewelry, and should wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts. The company provides a uniform and freezer jackets as technicians will be in and out of the freezer throughout the day. The company promotes a strong work-life balance, ensuring two consecutive days off, including a weekend day, and encourages internal advancement opportunities.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.
