Job Title: Systems Engineering TechnicianJob Description
Join a dynamic team focused on developing high bandwidth systems for free space optical communication between satellites. As a Systems Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in building and testing fiber optical assemblies and supporting the assembly and testing of free space optical assemblies.
Responsibilities
+ Build mechanical assemblies.
+ Build opto-mechanical assemblies.
+ Support development, prototyping, and failure investigations.
+ Install and dress fiber optic cables.
+ Install and dress electrical cables.
+ Work closely with design engineers on early hardware builds.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with mechanical assembly and precision alignment of mechanical components.
+ Mid to senior level experience in engineering technician or mechanical assembly roles.
+ Comfort working in an ambiguous environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
+ Experience with prototyping and hardware builds.
+ Knowledge of optics and fiber optics is beneficial but not required.
+ Experience in industries such as aerospace, medical, or automotive is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role is based onsite in Redmond, WA. You will be part of a multi-discipline team and will work closely with engineering teams across different locations. This position offers the opportunity to solve novel and challenging problems in a collaborative environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of REDMOND, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
