    Job Title: Electrical Drafter

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator/Electrical Drafter or Designer to support our current projects. The ideal candidate will model electrical systems based on markup drawings or verbal instructions provided by electrical detailers, and will be responsible for setting up Revit views and sheets for shop drawings.

    Responsibilities

    + Model electrical systems based on markup drawings and/or verbal direction provided by electrical detailers.

    + Set up Revit views and sheets in preparation for shop drawings.

    + Annotate and dimension shop drawings for field installation.

    + Attend meetings with clients to discuss drawings and designs.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical drafting using BIM and Revit.

    + 2-5 years of experience working with AutoCAD or Revit.

    + Knowledge and experience in construction, blueprints, and architectural drawings.

    + Experience in electrical design and drafting.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associates degree in a computer design field or equivalent technical school experience.

    + 4-10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction field.

    + Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.

    + Complex problem-solving ability and multitasking skills in a fast-paced group environment.

    + 3-5 years of experience in developing BIM models for M/E/P construction.

    Work Environment

    This position will primarily be office-based with some options for remote work. You will collaborate with other BIM detailers on projects and be required to conduct site visits. The role offers 2 weeks of PTO, 5 sick days, 6 paid holidays, and 401(k) benefits.

    This is a Contract position based out of Fairfax, Virginia.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
