Job Title: Phlebotomist - Little Silver
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Little Silver, specializing in Hematology and Oncology. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in phlebotomy with a focus on patient care and precision.
Responsibilities
+ Perform phlebotomy on all types of patients, including those with difficult veins (hard sticks).
+ Utilize needles and butterfly equipment to draw blood samples efficiently and safely.
+ Ensure accurate data entry and processing of laboratory results.
+ Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of phlebotomy and laboratory work.
+ Provide excellent customer service to patients and medical staff.
+ Assist in the collection and processing of medical samples.
Essential Skills
+ 1-2 years of experience in phlebotomy.
+ Proficiency in blood draw techniques and patient handling.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Competence in computer skills and data entry.
+ Ability to handle pediatric patients with care and professionalism.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
+ Experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
+ Experience with butterfly needle techniques is a plus.
Work Environment
The position requires availability Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 7 PM, with potential weekend shifts two times per month. The typical work schedule is 8 hours per day. Our work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, emphasizing teamwork, precision, and patient care.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Little Silver, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $21.00/hr.
