We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team as a Breadboard Build/Maintenance Technician. This role involves building breadboards per hardware specifications, conducting mechanical and hardware assemblies, and diagnosing and troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues. The successful candidate will develop and update documentation and procedures, fabricate and modify wire harnesses, and create custom hardware and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
+ Build breadboards according to BOM/illustrations/schematics.
+ Perform mechanical/hardware assembly tasks, such as working with 80/20 frames, fixtures, and module swaps on boards and vehicles.
+ Read and interpret schematics and topologies.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot breadboard issues, both mechanical and electrical.
+ Develop and update documentation and procedures related to breadboard maintenance.
+ Fabricate, modify, and repair wire harnesses, including overlays, splicing, and re-pinning.
+ Understand and apply knowledge of AC & DC electricity.
+ Undergo Level 2 High Voltage Training (training will be provided).
+ Fabricate custom hardware and electrical systems.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of Electrical Tech experience.
+ Strong technical aptitude in electrical instrumentation and system diagnostics.
+ Knowledge of vehicle test laboratory infrastructure and its operation.
+ Proficient diagnostic skills related to test system instrumentation and vehicle diagnostics.
+ Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with breadboards, prototypes, and CAN systems.
+ Proficiency in soldering and using electrical instrumentation.
Work Environment
The role is situated within a lab setting where technicians will utilize various tools such as hand tools, soldering tools, and fabrication tools, including drills and saws. Test equipment includes oscilloscopes, DVMs, DET/Vector/Intrepid devices, power supplies, and data loggers. Candidates should be familiar with software like MS Office Suite and ELMS.

This is a Contract position based out of DEARBORN, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
