About IOT Government Management Information Systems (GMIS):
GMIS provides technical and application support to more than 180 state operating agencies with 130 distinct financial business units. GMIS supports Enterprise applications including Oracle Hyperion and PeopleSoft HCM modules, Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Absence Management, and Portal.
Role Overview:
The PeopleSoft Systems Administrator is a senior member of the team responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the PeopleSoft ERP and HCM solutions. You will make architectural recommendations and daily decisions that guide the evolution of the infrastructure platform that runs the PeopleSoft applications and ensure that the ERP and HCM applications and related tools are running at optimal efficiency. As a valued expert on the team, you'll support technical upgrades, work with vendors on system integrations, and maintain system documentation. You will also serve as a subject matter expert for PeopleSoft application upgrades.
The ideal candidate will have experience executing multiple PeopleSoft upgrade projects, configuring environments and supporting first and second tier support technicians. Experience with migrating applications to, or supporting applications running in, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is preferred.
This position requires after-hours on-call support on a rotation with team members as well as occasional weekend work during upgrades and for code migrations.
Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $79,118 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

A Day in the Life:
Responsibilities include:
+ Perform highly complex data management functions at an enterprise level; install, integrate, upgrade, and manage PeopleSoft database environments and infrastructure.
+ Install and test new releases, bundles, and fixes.
+ Ensure data security protocols are maintained and backup/recovery processes are completed as scheduled.
+ Perform PeopleSoft data and systems architect duties; analyze data resource and server capacity and forecast growth requirements.
+ Recommend server, hardware, and data-related upgrades and enhancements to meet long-term needs.
+ Provide enterprise-level short- and long-term planning advice on technical enterprise database and systems management and utilization issues.
+ Provide advanced technical support to PeopleSoft developers and users including advice and guidance on complex processes and system interdependencies.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
Credentials:
+ a Master’s Degree and 1+ years of experience, or
+ a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ year of experience, or
+ an Associate's Degree and 5+ years of experience, or
+ at least 7+ years of experience applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
Additional qualifications:
+ Ability to communicate effectively.
+ Thorough knowledge of information technology system including software, hardware, and their impact on the various components.
+ Broad knowledge in information technology equipment, operation, and capabilities.
+ Extensive knowledge of State’s information technology policies, practices and procedures.
+ Maintains knowledge of current and emerging information technologies.
+ Broad knowledge of system software, system architecture, management principles and new system software techniques.
+ Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
+ Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach, and develop employee skillsets.
+ Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
