Description We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement robust Java applications to meet complex business requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects using cutting-edge technologies such as Spring Framework, RESTful services, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality web-based Java applications to align with business objectives.

• Create and maintain technical design documentation that adheres to established architectural standards.

• Perform comprehensive unit and system testing to ensure application functionality and reliability.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through detailed debugging and analysis.

• Conduct in-depth analysis of business requirements to develop effective technical solutions.

• Ensure applications meet performance expectations and operate efficiently in high-demand environments.

• Write, test, debug, and modify code for complex and large-scale systems.

• Lead or participate in the design, coding, testing, and implementation of software solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.

• Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve development processes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 8 years of relevant experience.

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 1.7/Java 1.8) and the Spring Framework.

• Hands-on experience with RESTful services, RabbitMQ, and Unix scripting.

• Familiarity with distributed systems, including Spring Batch and Hadoop, is highly desirable.

• Proficient in tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, and GitHub for development and deployment.

• Solid understanding of database systems, particularly DB2, and SQL expertise.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business needs and translate them into technical designs.
