Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional interested in contract to hire opportunities as a Staff Accountant in the Bridgewater, NJ area.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Review customer agreements and assist in determining how revenue and costs should be recognized over time.

+ Monitor financial aspects of projects including expenses, billing, and changes in scope.

+ Perform reconciliations and support general ledger activities.

+ Process vendor invoices and ensure proper allocation to projects and entities.

+ Contribute to monthly and quarterly financial close processes.

+ Assist in preparing and analyzing project budgets and forecasts.

+ Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial terms are properly reflected in records.

+ Maintain documentation and support audit-related requests.

+ Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows and systems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

+ 2–3 years of experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably involving project work.

+ Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

+ Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems or ERPs.

+ Ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally.
