Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. This is a contract position within the financial services industry, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to key financial projects and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a proven track record in financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Build and maintain complex financial models to forecast performance and evaluate business scenarios.

• Perform variance analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and deliver ad hoc financial reports tailored to management needs.

• Utilize data mining techniques to extract and interpret financial data for actionable insights.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and recommendations.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely projections.

• Present findings and reports to senior management, offering clear and concise insights.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and standards in all analyses and reporting.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement within financial operations. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles.

• Expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.

• Strong knowledge of variance analysis and the ability to interpret financial trends.

• Proficiency in ad hoc financial reporting and data mining techniques.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights to stakeholders.

• Proven ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
