Summary
The Specialist, Members-Only Content plays a crucial role on the Content Team by crafting high-impact content for SHRM members. This role is specifically tailored for a strategic-minded individual with a flair for creating compelling content that not only informs and engages current members but also attracts prospective customers into SHRM's ecosystem at the top of the buying funnel.
As a key player in our content strategy execution, you will leverage your expertise to craft content that speaks directly to SHRM’s strategic audiences’ needs, industry trends, and organizational goals, thereby driving deeper engagement and conversion across SHRM's platforms. This role will play a pivotal role in our mission to shape the future of HR.
Responsibilities
Content Creation
+ Develop exclusive member-only tools and resources such as how-to-guides, toolkits, interactive media, and other forms of content that position SHRM as the go-to source for HR strategy, functions, and thought leadership.
+ Produce additional high-quality, engaging content SHRM’s for digital channels that upholds SHRM’s editorial excellence standards across various formats and platforms.
Content Innovation
+ Engage in the research and brainstorming processes to contribute fresh ideas for compelling content that highlights industry trends, newsmaking regulatory changes, and professional insights.
Trend Monitoring
+ Stay updated on HR trends, industry changes, SHRM research, professional development, and global events to recommend content strategy enhancements and the adoption of new media technologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Participate in collaborative efforts with other departments and external partners to ensure a unified approach to content and audience engagement across SHRM.

Education & Experience Requirements
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field. Experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
Experience:
+ Two (2) years of experience in print and digital content creation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.
+ Deep understanding of HR industry dynamics and the specific needs of HR professionals and leaders.
+ Solid understanding of content marketing and audience engagement strategies.
+ Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a proven track record of producing impactful and engaging content.
+ Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and drive content initiatives that align with organizational goals.
+ Proficiency in digital media tools and content/project management systems (Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Monday.com experience preferred).
+ Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.
+ Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects effectively.
+ Organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Work Environment
Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):
+ This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and concluding between 5:00PM – 6:00PM.

_The hiring range for this position is $70,000 to $82,500 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. SHRM offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package.
