Job Requisition: REQ3949 Employment Type Per Diem Shift: Rotating Hours Per Week: As scheduled

Hiring range: $ 22.74 - $30.41 The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities: • Monitors and maintains all power house equipment. Performs daily readings of various plant levels, pressures and temperatures and make adjustments as needed. • Performs daily chemical tests on boilers, softeners and condensate return water and adjust chemical feeds. Opens boilers annually for inspection and calibrates boiler fuel/air ratios. • Responds to calls or alarms regarding problems in regulating temperature. Monitors electrical usage and makes necessary changes. • Removes and installs equipment as required including alignment of pumps and motors for service. • Possesses knowledge of building automation system for control of air handlers and associated equipment and understanding of pneumatic tube system to assist maintenance mechanics with troubleshooting system problems. • Assists with snow removal. • Assists with the moving of items within/between locations and from/to storage, including furniture, equipment and files.Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.

Complexity of Work: • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment: • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Licensure / Certification / Registration: • Required Credential(s): Valid NYS drivers license required.

Education: • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
