The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of todays and tomorrow’s power grid!
We are seeking a dynamic and experience leader to manage our Field Service Engineering Development Program for the Customer Services business segment. This role will help develop and continuously improve the program for recent engineering graduates. The goal of this program is to provide entry level service engineers with both classroom and field training, so they are prepared to service our extensive product portfolio. As the CS EDP Manager, you will own the program’s success – refining its curriculum, recruiting top talent, and providing mentorship that helps participants build meaningful careers in field service. This position is a hybrid role based in Wendell, NC.
You’ll make an impact as you:
+ Refine and implement a robust curriculum for the CS EDP that aligns with career and business goals.
+ Recruit and select high-potential trade school or engineering graduates.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify impactful learning opportunities.
+ Provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to participants.
+ Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes growth and career exploration.
+ Align the CS EDP strategy with broader CS and EA organizational goals.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree.
+ 5+ years of engineering management experience, including hands-on field service experience with low and medium-voltage products.
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent.
+ Effective communication and presentation skills across varied audiences.
+ Experience with LV and MV power distribution equipment manufacturing and service.
