**We're growing fast, and searching for a dynamic, ambitious, and talented Portfolio Consulting Director** to join our Energy Business Advisory team within our Power Technologies International (PTI) consulting group.

This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S.

We need someone with a proven track record who will be responsible for leading teams of consulting engineers, economists, and project managers in the implementation and delivery of innovative energy business advisory services, integrated resource planning, energy market analytics, and economics. The successful candidate will be accountable for PTI’s energy business advisory portfolio of services, business/customer relationship development, near-term and long-term business plans, as well as strategic developments for emerging consulting services. This position requires great customer focus, strong technical background, execution leadership, as well as admirable people skills.

You’ll make an impact as you:

+ Lead a team of subject matter experts and trusted advisors to the industry in formulating solutions to critical challenges in today’s industry such as DER integration, decarbonization strategies, generation portfolio optimization, integrated resource planning, congestion/curtailment management, etc.

+ Drive business development in formulating and executing winning strategies, including promoting consulting services encompassing the energy business advisory portfolio, as well as relationship building as necessary with existing and new clients.

+ Maintain a three-year business plan and drive new portfolio development for emerging consulting services.

+ Manage profit and loss of your regional consulting business while engaging key clients to achieve business targets.

+ Drive an efficient consulting practice and monitor market rates to optimize billability.

+ Lead talent acquisition, training, mentoring, and development of personnel to deliver consulting services.

+ Leverage relationships with other business units within Siemens to expand and/or create new synergies and Go-to-Market strategies.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related domain, with a combination of technical and business experience in the Energy Sector.

+ Minimum of 10 years of successful energy-related consulting experience and demonstrated growth in Energy Advisory consulting and/or other consulting leadership over career.

+ Working relationships and contacts within the industry: ISOs/RTOs, TSPs, IOUs and/or other electrical utilities in the US.

+ Proven track record of leadership of high-performance teams.

+ Familiarity with North American bulk transmission systems (e.g., Eastern Interconnection, Western Interconnection, and ERCOT Interconnection).

+ Solid understanding FERC’s regulatory framework and relevant NERC standards impacting ISOs/RTOs and IOUs.

+ Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Working knowledge of production cost modeling tools, as well as resource adequacy tools.
