    Primary Objective

     

    Efficiently repair hydro-mechanical components or products returned from customers, ensuring high-quality workmanship that meets performance standards. This includes diagnosing issues accurately, applying cost-effective solutions, and maintaining a strong focus on reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.

    Major Areas of Accountability

    + Perform in-house repairs on hydro-mechanical components or products returned from the field, ensuring each unit is restored to full functionality and meets all quality and specification standards for either customer return or exchange stock.

    + Conduct thorough testing and calibration of repaired items to verify compliance with original design specifications.

    + Prepare and provide accurate time and material Repair Quotes to the Service Sales team, following established pricing guidelines.

    + Collaborate with the Factory Repair Planner to monitor factory schedules and routing, ensuring timely return of repaired items to customers.

    + Assess failed units to determine whether repair or replacement is the most cost-effective solution.

    + Accurately and promptly complete repair documentation to ensure proper recordkeeping and traceability.

    + Apply expert knowledge of common failure points and product wear patterns to provide Engineering with actionable feedback, including design improvement recommendations, to drive continuous product quality enhancement.

    + Modify designs as needed to accommodate changes in component availability or to replace obsolete parts, especially when engineering support is no longer available.

    + Design and build custom test fixtures to effectively repair and test incoming products. This may involve configuring multiple system components and coordinating with other facilities, equipment, and resources.

    + Performs other duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications

    AA Degree or 2 year related vocational certification or equivalent military training in an applicable discipline (mechanics, hydraulics) with 1 year experience or​ 3 years of applicable experience in an applicable environment (e.g. mechanical assembly)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Compensation Information:

    $26.00 - $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
