    The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for a School Nurse Practitioner. This is a professional nursing position responsible for providing medical supervision and oversight, along with direct nursing services for students when needed to fill in for nurses, including performing physical examinations, as it relates to the students’ performance in a general or special education program. Duties involve determining individual health care needs and ensuring needs will be provided for in the students’ educational program. The School Nurse Practitioner will provide medical oversight on the general care of students, the athletic program, preventative guidance and training, will assist administration in matters related to public health and be the district liaison with medical providers. This position serves as the district medical director. *Applicants must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment for the NYS Education Department before employment begins. Immediate Supervisor: Director of Student Information Services. Required Credentials: New York State certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in one or more of the following specialty areas: Community Health, Family Health, Pediatrics, or School Health.

     

    Appointment: Full-time on contract, 10 month school year (187 contract days, this position observes school recess periods) with up to 20 additional per diem summer days.

     

    Salary/Benefits: Minimum starting salary for the student school year (September to June) $77,278 commensurate with experience.
