    Description

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for daily product distribution including pick-ups, deliveries and selection of product within warehouse.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    + Responsible for daily noting of mileage and vehicle conditions in vehicle log and related registers as required by N.Y.S.D.O.T;

    + Responsible for proper care and operation of vehicle, assists vehicle maintenance schedule;

    + Reports all vehicle maintenance needs to Holt Street Facilities Manager;

    + Supports and is backup for Warehouse Assistants and assists with overall warehouse maintenance;

    + Assists warehouse management in special projects as requested;

    + Loading, transporting, and delivering/picking up items to safe, timely manner.

    + Reviewing orders before loading to ensure that deliveries are completed accurately.

    + Loading and unloading items from vehicles.

    + Providing excellent customer service.

    + Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.

    + Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.

    + Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, scanner gun, printer, etc.; and

    + May require occasional coverage at the Falconer area work locations.

    + Assist with any and all mission work as needed and requested with some or no prior notice including, but not limited to: serving as a truck spotter, helping with Farm Market/Community Garden/Freight Farms/on and off-site food distributions, preparation of meals and serving home-delivered meals

    + Other duties as assigned or needed

    Requirements

    + Must possess a New York State Class B Commercial Driver's license and have a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience;CDL A Preferred

    + Must have a history of responsible driving;

    + NY State Certified to operate Tow Motor/Forklift equipment preferred;

    + Ability to quickly and proficiently learn new software including but not limited to Net Suite Oracle, WAERLinx, RoadNet and Paylocity;

    + Must be literate with four basic math skills;

    + Proficient in MS Office; and

    + Must be able to lift 35 pounds for up to two hours continuously.

    Salary Description

    $23.00-$25.00/hr. *Bi-Weekly Pay Periods
