    About the Role

    TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician to support the rebuild of its Nashville market and lead commercial voice, data, and fire alarm projects across the region. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled technician ready to take ownership of installations, mentor junior team members, and deliver exceptional service.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead installation and service of low voltage systems: Fire Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom.

    + Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new systems.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

    + Supervise and guide teams of 2–4 technicians on-site.

    + Communicate clearly with clients and project leads.

    + Perform inspections and ensure code compliance.

    + Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotation.

    + Maintain accurate documentation and project reports.

    Must-Have Skills & Experience

    + 3+ years of experience in structured cabling, conduit installation, or low voltage systems.

    + Strong leadership skills with experience managing small teams.

    + Proficient in reading blueprints and using hand tools (punch, snips, scissors).

    + Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

    + Technical expertise in:

    + Cat6 Cabling

    + Access Control

    + Fire Alarm Systems

    + Cable Installation

    Nice-to-Have Skills

    + Experience with nurse call systems and intercoms.

    + Familiarity with lifts and ladders for elevated work.

    + Strong computer and troubleshooting skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
