Position Overview:
This is primarily a night shift position.
Oversees the day-to-day delivery of Respiratory Care services and helps ensure that the care provided is consistent with established policies and procedures in a safe, appropriate and cost-effective manner. Assists in the supervision and development of staff; provides input into planning and monitoring of department operations and staff competency assessments; assists in meeting budgetary goals and performs other administrative executive functions as required.

EDUCATION:
Other: Graduation from an AMA approved respiratory care program
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
CA Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge in current Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary services technologies for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations and their respective applications.
Knowledge of the Joint Commission regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Title 22 regulations, Respiratory Care Practice Act, Respiratory Care Clinical Practice Guidelines, Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) regulations, and Consumer Assistance Programs (CAP) regulations.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with medical professionals and supervise personnel in a variety of situations.
Ability to plan, direct, control, lead, and evaluate department activities in the area of responsibility.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range is $55.18 to $82.77 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
