THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Information Technology Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks to assist with the busy day-to-day operations of Northumberland County Children & Youth Services. Work involves managing all hardware, software, and applications that the county utilizes, including troubleshooting, providing technical assistance, and resolving any IT issues as they arise. You will also provide training to staff on the utilization of programs and assist with maintaining the training manual. Excellent interpersonal skills are vital, as you will have the opportunity to work in close cooperation with other social service agencies, hospitals, mental health facilities, police, courts, schools, and other community resources in assisting the families served.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of experience providing information technology support services involving hardware and software installation, operation, and maintenance;or
+ An associate's degree in any information technology field;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
+ Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
