    Job Description

    We are looking for a Maintenance Tech I at our El Segundo, CA facility.

    Responsibilities:

    + Works with increasing independence in performing a wide range of tasks across the spectrum of maintenance operations.

    + With little to no guidance and direction, monitors Building Maintenance Systems to ensure facilities, equipment and environmental systems are within specified ranges and operating systems are functioning properly.

    + Observes deviations from systems specifications and works with others to correct or resolve discrepancies.

    + May assist in calibrating and fine‐tuning controls.

    + With little to no guidance and direction, performs routine maintenance tasks, which may include HVAC, electrical and plumbing repairs, painting, office furniture installation, general building repairs, cleaning, building exterior maintenance and other as assigned.

    + Performs preventative maintenance tasks while supporting maintenance and operational work orders and other assignments.

    + Maintains accurate record-keeping on all maintenance tasks performed, ensuring cGMP compliance at all times.

    + Helps ensure manufacturing and lab operations and personnel are supported to meet business needs, which may include lab gasses, equipment service contracts, safety equipment, etc.

    + Helps maintain a safe work environment by working in accordance with all safety SOPs.

    + Troubleshoots and remediates routine and non-routine maintenance-related issues, seeking guidance as needed.

    + Makes recommendations for solutions to deviations or other issues.

    + Initiates and owns minor and sometimes major deviations, including CAPAs and basic Change Management records.

    + Ensures assigned maintenance work orders are completed on time, while adhering to operational standards and regulatory requirements.

    + May participate in development of SOPs and other process documentation.

    + Participates in operational excellence initiatives, such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean and other continuous improvements.

    + May be assigned as a lead or point person on a single project.

    + In addition to Maintenance Technician I, proven effectiveness working collaboratively in a team environment, and communicating clearly, concisely and accurately in both oral and written forms.

    + Demonstrable abilities to work with limited supervision and identify and resolve issues of increasing complexity.

    + Demonstrated self-motivation and drive to accomplish own and team goals and assignments.

    + Additional duties as assigned.

    + These duties can be delegated to designated deputies of a satisfactory qualification level as needed

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s OR

    + Associate and 2+ years of relevant experience OR

    + High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + GMP experience in a highly regulated environment

     

    The salary range for this position is: $74,715.00 - $96,690.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
