Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Manager, Procurement Operations is responsible for the daily execution of the delivery performance of the Garden Grove supply base supporting a 100% uptime in our operations. First line escalation for operational buyers will be managed by the Manager, Procurement Operations.
Job Responsibilities
+ Manage a team of operational Buyers, coaching, mentoring and developing growth potential, managing daily performance
+ Ensure all parts, materials, tools, & services are procured & delivered on time to site/program and business schedules in line with MRP demand and internal customer requirements
+ Develop and measure key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure buyer compliance to purchase requisition and MRP performance
+ Develop, monitor and improve the on-time delivery metrics within the supply base.
+ Identify and implement key tools and processes necessary for the site and supply base performance
+ Guarantee purchase orders are in line with procurement contracts, site inventory and cost targets
+ Establish, implement and verify the disciplined execution of Daily Management and Standardized work of operational buyers
+ Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure a high quality, reliable source of supplies, services and information
+ Ensure compliance from procurement to customer and government requirements
+ Role modelling a culture that is aligned to the GKN Aerospace “Great Place to Work” value drivers and Culture Principles
Job Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering; will consider 7 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry in lieu of a degree
+ 5+ years relevant business experience, which includes 3+ years experience in Procurement, SCM or Production Management in Aerospace
+ 1+ years of experience with people management
+ Able to accommodate 25% of domestic travel
+ U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
+ APICS/CPM Certification
+ Understanding of FAR/DFARS compliance and flowdowns
+ Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and AS9100 Quality Management System
+ Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
+ LEAN or Six Sigma experience
+ A demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight in suppliers processes
+ A track record of Leadership to work with cross functional teams
Compensation Data
Salary Range: $108,569.00 - $162,853.00
