    + 3 years of experience with Android application development.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.

    + 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.

    + 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

    + Experience building and shipping mobile applications that involve speech and audio processing.

    + Familiarity with deep learning model deployment, including Large Language Models (LLMs).

    As a member of the Gboard team, you'll work on Google's keyboard application for Android and iPhone, which combines essential features like glide typing and voice typing with speed and reliability. Your mission will be to integrate cutting-edge GenAI to redefine the future of voice dictation and overall voice-based interactions.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, and test system integration code, focusing on connecting with next-generation speech recognizers.

    + Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

    + Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

    + Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

    + Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
