+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience in software development.
+ 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
+ Experience with C++, Python, Diagnostics, Test Design, Data Analysis, Test Automation, Failure Diagnosis.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
+ 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
+ 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
+ 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
+ Experience with one or more of the following: Test Methodology, Network Diagnostics, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.

The Core Systems and Capacity Assurance (CSCA) team manages the entire service lifetime of machines within the Google Fleet. We deliver the tools and systems for machine management, including software installation and hardware health testing. Our team develops diagnostic tests and repair strategies to ensure every machine is healthy and ready to serve.
We also validate all new hardware, ensuring it performs as expected, is defect-free, and is properly configured before deployment. This validation occurs at every stage, from manufacturing to the data center. We create hardware diagnostics and repair strategies for all data center platforms—including Compute, Storage, and GPU/TPU Accelerators—to guarantee they are ready for Google's internal and Cloud customers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
+ Design and manage automation processes, diagnostics for New-Product-Introduction (NPI), enabling efficient installation, configuration, testing and management of new data center hardware from manufacturing to Data Center installation.
+ Design and use tools for data driven decisions and strategies to continuously improve the process efficacy.
+ Develop the strategy for new product test solutions, and work closely with our hardware, software, manufacturing, and data center deployment and operation teams to ensure that end-to-end data center automated diagnosis and repair systems are working efficiently and integrated properly with the signals generated from our test infrastructure and diagnostics.
+ Develop software executing in thousands of systems in parallel. Develop data insights required to analyze complex result sets, optimize repair strategies for fault coverage/ isolation.
+ Drive the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring new hardware platforms turn up smoothly from manufacturing to our data centers.
