    Legal Operations Specialist – Custodian of Records

     

    The principal purpose of this position is to timely and accurately respond to _subpoena duces tecum_ and other third-party requests for records and information served on the Company. Records include, but are not limited to: personnel files, video surveillance, POS transactions, real estate documents, benefits and payroll information.

    _Primary Responsibilities:_

    + Review the subpoena and determine whether it is properly served

    + Identify, request and/or pull documents and information that are responsive to the subpoena

    + Uses effective judgment to redact confidential and non-public information from public records where protected by federal or state laws

    + Coordinate with attorney for proper review and response

    + Develops and maintains a system to track all incoming requests and responses

    _Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:_

    + 2-3 years relevant experience

    + Some college

    + Paralegal Certification Preferred

    + Accuracy and attention to detail

    + Effective organization and prioritization

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to handle confidential information discreetly

    + Proficient with MS Office Suite® and Adobe®
